Tom Paton
20 years later, The A Plus Group has expanded to employing any where between 60-100 staff members, directly employing and training our own apprentices with an impressive fleet of various plant & equipment.
A fully licensed Plumber in both the ACT and NSW in Plumbing, Drainage, Advanced Gas
and Building.
Tom’s extensive knowledge and vast commercial experience over the years has given the company the opportunity to work on of some of the most complex and largest projects in the both the ACT and regional areas even taking the company abroad occasionally. Tom has an incredible ability to solve, and create innovative solutions for hydraulic issues.
Tom’s key focus in business is building a strong working relationship with clients, being actively involved with each and every project undertaken, ensuring that A Plus Plumbing delivers on time, with the highest quality and safety standards.
Nicola Paton
Nicola is responsible for the commercial, financial and operation activities of the A Plus Group, along with the day to day responsibilities of HR.
Nicola’s key focus is to ensure that the A Plus Group maintains a healthy financial position and keeps up to date with all the business compliance requirements, along with mentoring our apprentices.
Kailum Hall
including extensive experience in both residential and large-scale commercial projects.
During his time with the company, he has played an integral part in managing and delivering some of Canberra’s most complex hydraulic projects to the highest industry standards.
He has a strong ability to negotiate, mentor and manage people and the projects whilst ensuring that the project is adequately resourced to meet all of the performance criteria including those for customer service, budget/profit, time. quality, safety, and environmental.
Joshua Argenti
since completing his trade certificate he has moved straight into the administration side of
the business.
Joshua started off estimating, then worked his way up to project managing

Highly computer literate, exceptional communicator with strong negotiation skills, outstanding problem solving abilities, develops team focus and gets the job done.
Warren Nilon
Having worked for some of the largest plumbing suppliers his connection and understanding of the products available has given the company the of incorporating and offering alternative
products/systems.
Management of the procurement process including negotiations on quality and price, reliability of supply and timeliness of delivery.
Connor Spalding
with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure) First Class Honours and receiving the Vice-Chancellor’s List Award. Connor began as our Quality Engineer at HMAS Albatross before moving to the position of Project Engineer/Manager back in Canberra from 2016.
As well has a strong ability to understand complex projects, Connor’s experience at A Plus Plumbing allows him to manage a diverse range of infrastructure/civil projects ranging whether they be small or large. Connors major project experience consists of: HMAS Albatross Redevelopment Project (Infrastructure Services), Woodlawn MBT Facility (Civil and Hydraulic Package), Ashley Drive Upgrade Stage 2 (Stormwater and Watermain Works), MVIS Hume (Hydraulics), Forrest Apartments (Civil Services), Kaleen Icon Watermain Renewal, Casey 4 Estate Sewer & Stormwater and HMAS Harman Water Infrastructure Upgrade.
Connor’s continuous drive to self-develop is a valuable asset to A Plus as he is able to provide wide variety of services including but not limited to: Survey set-outs and pickups, creating of WAE documents in AutoCAD, provide design solutions in CAD to clients, creation of passive fire documentation, creating and maintaining A Plus Systems, estimating of civil tenders, creating commissioning plans and maintaining an understanding of current Icon standards/ACT standard specifications.
Paul Smales
taken on a number of differing roles from he controlling the warehouse and stock to getting the materials out onsite.
Paul is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical maintenance of the fleet is undertaken, and that the various job sites have the specialised tools required, and that all equipment is compliant to safety standards.

HISTORY
A-Plus Plumbing was established in Canberra (ACT) in 2000, by Tom Paton, a highly regarded and qualified tradesman, who with passion and dedication wanted to create a business that was founded on excellence and clearly differentiated in the commercial plumbing market.
The company has grown substantially since the beginning and continues to expand and establish itself as having the reputation for providing quality hydraulic solutions to a range of clients across a broad range of industries in the commercial hydraulic /
civil sectors.
The success of A-Plus has been founded on it’s ability to managesmall to large commercial plumbing contracts to the complete satisfaction of each client whilst meeting all contract and plumbingcompliance requirements. A-Plus prides itself on providing the bestoutcomes for our clients through understanding of client requirements, applying Innovative approaches to solutions, from design through to fabrication and a commitment to on-time project delivery by a thoroughly professional, capable, compliant and focused team.
